Introduction

noircash is the private side of NOIR, an ordinary token on Robinhood Chain. Shield NOIR into encrypted notes to send and sell it privately and to earn from every trade.

On most blockchains, anyone can look up an address and see what it holds and every payment it ever made. NOIR is an ordinary ERC-20 on Robinhood Chain, launched on the Pons launchpad: anyone can hold, send and trade it like any other token. noircash is its private side. When you shield NOIR, it moves into the noircash vault and becomes an encrypted note that only you can read. From there you can send it, sell it for ETH or take it back out, and nobody else learns who you are or how much you hold.

What makes it different

How it fits together

  1. You activate privacy once. Your wallet signs a message, and the app derives your privacy keys from that signature. You register a public key so that others can pay you privately. See Get started.
  2. You shield NOIR into notes. Buy in the app and the NOIR lands straight in a note, or shield NOIR you already hold. Only your keys can find the note. See Buy NOIR.
  3. You spend notes with a proof and a signature. To send, sell or unshield, the app builds a zero-knowledge proof on your device, and your wallet signs that exact transaction. The chain checks the proof and learns nothing else. See Send privately.
  4. The network fee comes out of the notes, so your address never signs or pays for a private transaction. See Fees.
